In previous posts we have written about the missing Florida woman who appeared on "The People's Court" with her ex-fiancé. Authorities have still not found the woman or her body, making it unclear whether this is a homicide case as some suspect. They did, however, find something that family members and friends are hoping will be a promising lead.
According to reports, authorities found the missing mother's iPhone. They haven't indicated exactly when they found the iPhone or the location of its discovery, but the family reportedly was called in to identify the phone yesterday. They are calling the find "the biggest break ever" and are hopeful the phone will contain more clues regarding the woman's whereabouts.
So far, authorities haven't come up with any strong leads. The prime suspect has been the ex-fiancé, and investigators have targeted him and his family since the woman's gone missing with questions and searches of their properties. Even with all of that investigation, it sounds as though this cell phone is still the most promising clue to finding the missing mother.
An iPhone is essentially a computer that could have some important information about the woman contained in it. There's a GPS system in the phone that they're hoping can track where it's been over the past couple of weeks. Other information on the phone could also prove helpful, including text messages, photos and call history records. Perhaps those sources could reveal something about the identity of the person whom the woman was last with or whether there was someone in her life that was threatening her.
We will continue to follow this story and post an update when there are developments.
